When you are organising a conference or an event in the Midlands, the location of your event plays a massive part in its success. You simply must get the venue right. People won’t come to a Midlands conference if the location is extremely hard to reach. Plus, if you end up booking a venue that is too large for your needs, you will look like your event hasn’t been a success. Too small, and people will be bumping into each other.
When planning a Midlands event, take these tips into account when you are deciding where to hold your conference, meeting, or show.
Know Your Event Inside-Out
Before you start scouring the internet for the best Conference venue midlands towns have to offer, be sure you know exactly what you need. It helps to understand what your event is going to look like. What is the purpose of the event? How many people do you expect to attend? Will you need accommodation for delegates? What kind of catering do you need, and will you want entertainment? Once you have got all the information on the type of venue you need, it becomes much easier to draw up a shortlist you can actually handle.
Best Location Is Best For Business
It certainly is all location, location, location when it comes to event planning. Depending on the type of event you are planning you will need to think about where the venue is located. Will most of your delegates or attendees be coming from far away, or will they be local to the Midlands? How important is public transport to be able to reach the venue? If the event is going to be held over two or more days you will also need to consider proximity to accommodation in a range of different budgets. You will want to be close to affordable accommodation, and also restaurants or cafes so that people can take a break outside of the conference when they need to.
Onsite Catering a Necessity?
Also think about what you need in terms of catering. Your choice of venue will be affected by how much it can provide in terms of food and drink, if you need a sit-down dinner or a buffet. If you do not require any catering, this may lead you to choose different types of venue. Of course, in most cases you will at least need access to tea and coffee, plus a place where people can relax in-between meetings. You will also need to check that the venue has Wi-Fi, and how it can handle the amount of delegates that will be attending.
