If you’re a history nerd, this is one place to be. The other common tourist spot in this area is the Karnala Bird sanctuary, which is a highly protected zone. Tikona Fort – Another beautiful spot near Lonavla is the magnificent hill fort in Maval, which stands at a height of 3500 ft and has a pyramid shape (hence the name Tikona which means ‘Triangle’). Put those Nike’s on and trek through the hills in this area which are also well-known for the Satvahan caves and Trimbakeshwar Mahadev Temple and take a few shots of all that that greenery.
