How to prepare for the trek

Many vacation trips are directed to Nepal as it has most popular trekking routes all around the world. It has indeed the most adventurous and amazing trekking places that are visited by thousands of hiking lovers all around the world. It presents to you the natures in its purest form and unspoiled landscape that are spectacular and eye catching. Himalaya is the mountain range with the highest mountain peaks all around the world.  If you have planned trekking in Nepal, or more specifically trek Himalaya, Nepal, here are some preparation tips for you.

  • First of all, you have to know the region by doing some pre-search as Himalaya is a vast range spreading across Nepal, China, Bhutan, and India. Knowing about the type of trekking beforehand can help you to decide what type of trekking do you want to do according to the difficulty levels.
  • Trekking can be done only if you are a hiking lover. Even if you are a hiker, you have to make sure that you are physically fit for trekking. So before you decide and go to Nepal, you should choose small trekking routes and perform some exercise to ensure your physical fitness. Some of the exercises include squats, planks, crunches, running etc.
  • Traveling to a foreign region requires interaction with the common people. Therefore you should learn common question and phrases in the local language there to overcome the communication gap.
  • Mental preparation is way more important when you are moving to another cultural place. You have to get yourself adjust according to the way of the local people and local environment that might be quite different like crowded street, pollution, noise etc.

  • Altitude sickness is a common problem while trekking to Himalaya. To avoid that you should ascend gradually and slowly and stay hydrated. Other measures include taking enough carbohydrates and sleeping at night.
  • Keep medicines for some major symptoms like a headache, nausea, and vomiting. Similarly, trekker medical kit should be kept.
  • Gadgets like camera, flashlights, chargers and spare batteries are important.
  • You should have the currency of the country and also keep it in change form for your convenience during trek Himalaya.
